This is my most ambitious art project for a while- I want to do a series of silk paintings, based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot deck. Each piece will incorporate at least some of the traditional images and meanings of the card, but will also have a particular theme that links to the tradition but also brings something new to it. Themes will be drawn from anything- art, literature, pop culture, fashion, music. I've decided on a few already, but still need to think of the themes for most of the cards. So far I've got:

2: The High Priestess- Hippie
3: The Empress- ?
4: The Emperor- ?
5: The Hierophant- [Buddhist monk}
6: The Lovers- Manga

11: Justice-?
12: The Hanged Man- ?
13: Death- [emo]
14: Temperance- ?
15: The Devil- ?
16: The Tower- ?
17: The Star- ?
18: The Moon- [madness]
19: The Sun- ?
20: Judgement- ?
21: The World- ?

I've decided to be active here. Yay.
I've just submitted a bunch of old stuff that I did for my IB art course, over a year ago now... I'm going to take a break, then submit some more recent stuff.

At least, I'm quite creative and very pretentious. Short of actually being good at art, those are the main prerequisites of being a good artist, right?
I like to draw and paint and write and mess around with scissors and glue and broken tiles and dead fish.
